Amazing shoes
These boots are very comfortable and they hold up nicely to the abuse that my job puts them through. Whether I'm rigging, climbing on truss, building a stage, or just cleaning the arena, these boots can put up with anything. Recently we scrubbed our building from top to bottom and I spent a lot of that time standing in 2-3 inches of water, but at the end of the day, there wasn't one drop of water in the boots. The steel toe is very durable and you can't feel from inside the boot. And the slip resistant soles are handy. I haven't slipped once since I started wearing them to work.
The only problems I've had with the boots are the finish and the laces. The black finish wears off fairly easily, leaving the gray leather exposed. It's happened on both of the boots, with the finish wearing completely off the toes and starting to wear off in other places. It's not too big a deal to me, I just keep a second pair in my locker at work and switch to those for the "formal" events in the arena. The laces seem to lose their "guts" easily, too. The inner laces just squeeze right through the sheathing and stick out. It looks odd but most people don`t notice. But they can catch on things and trip you up if you're not careful. I just switched 'em out for another set and they work fine. But otherwise these are great boots. The fit, the look, and the quality are top-notch; Redwing really makes a superior product! Highly recommended.
very comfortable love'em
I bought these shoes cause my boots where a little to hot in the alabama summer and I wanted more comfort they are great at both. One prob I have noticed is the sole is coming apart I will take that up with redwing soon its not bad now just small pieces
