Outstanding deal on a quality item
I'm a guy and I've been wearing these Tamarac mocs (#25) for several years now and at this price, they're a steal. They're an excellent 'around the house' comfy moc for guys in several colors for $13.50 each pair w/ free shipping when you buy 2 prs.
Yes, the lining is synthetic but I've had the same moc w/ real sheepskin lining and they're even warmer. As to wear, they both seem to last about the same as either lining eventually gets compacted.
Overall, a great deal but your mileage may vary.
Comfortable Moccasins
I like to wear moccasins in my home. Usually, the moment I return to my house after an outing, I remove my shoes and put on my slippers. My favorite , very comfortable, moccasins recently wore out after eight years of wear. Sometimes I have a problem getting quality replacements.
The last replacements I purchased, from a different on line service, fell apart soon after I received them. The lacing unraveled both where the upper attaches to the sole, and also where the laces attach to the moccasin.
I ordered Tamarac Moccasins from Amazon several months ago. They appear to be well made. They are very comfortable and are wearing well. I anticipate many good days lounging in my new footwear. I recommend Tamarac Moccasins.
Once you get the right size, they're great
Tamarac's biggest problem, as noted by other reviewers, is the variance in their sizing from shoe to shoe. A 12 medium fit me fine in a similar style, so I had to exchange these in 12 M for a wide (ee) and now they PERFECTLY and are ultra-butcomfy. Another pair of a different style required a 13 to fit me right, but if you are willing to deal with these discrepancies then the shoes are worth it--and at a great price. That's why I did not take a star away from my rating. I now own four pair and I love them all, thanks to Amazon's amazing service, pricing, and selection.
