New lance Water Shoe
Having a frog shaped foot, it is very difficult for me to find shoes that fit.
This New Balance Men's 921 Water Shoe does fit nicely and is wide enough for my foot. Lightweight.
Not as comfortable at first as other New Balance that I purchased, but they're fine now. My only complaint would be that the bottom of this shoe is not as cushioned as some of my other shoes.
Great multi-role shoe
I wanted a pair of water shoes or socks for a trip to a water park, so I took a chance on these. These were much more expensive than the typical water socks, but turn out to be far superior as well. You'll have no problem driving a car, walking a bit (even up steep inclines), and of course they are great in or even under water. When wet, most of the water will drain out through the drain holes along the bottom of the shoe. A small amount will remain in the inserts, but the inserts are comfortable enough that this isn't really an issue. About the only negative, and it isn't serious, is that the treads on these are much bigger than I expected. This has no effect on your use of the shoes (other than providing good traction and shock absorbtion), but I was worried that I might be asked to take off the shoes at the water park. Fortunately no one said anything since they are clearly water shoes. The somewhat unattractive colors actually helps here, I think, although I'm starting to like the green. I'd definitely choose these again. I look forward to trying them out in different situations; I think they'd make the perfect shoes for white water rafting.
Good shoe feels great
Bought these for river walks and fishing. They are very comfortable without socks. Got them in my exact shoe size and they fit good. They are a bit narrow for my D size foot though. I was able to breaking them in on my fishing trip. One specific complaint is that the tongue is a bit flimsy and can slip down the inside of shoe. All else is great.
Pros: lots of drain holes on sole of shoe for water evacuation. Tough poly material stands up well. Easy lace system for quick removal and putting on. Great traction. Arch seem supported well even for my high arched feet. Feels good when standing in place for long time (hours) and also when walking. Inserts absorb impacts well and keep feet feeling great all day long. Was great in the Colorado mountain rivers on slick rocks and such. Used instead of waders and hip boots. Very comfortable.
Cons: a bit pricey but much nicer than the other brands that I have tried. Tongue needs to either be tougher or have a way of securing it in place since it slips down the inside of the shoe easily. Fits a bit snug on a D width foot so break them in before going on a long outing in them.
Over all this is the best water shoe I have had so far and I would buy this one again. My wife wants one now also.
