The winner!
I just returned from Europe, where I did a LOT of walking. I came prepared and brought along several pairs of shoes I thought would be comfortable, but these were the winner! They were the ONLY pair I had with me that gave good support, suited the hot climate and didn't cause a single blister. Yay!
These Flip Flops Rock!
The Croc's Athens Sandal was the most positively reviewed shoe on Amazon.com in 2008 Crocs Athens Black / Black Unisex Men's Women's Sandals Casual Walking Shoes Beach Shoes. Croc's pushed the boundary even further with the introduction of the Prepair Flip Flop. These sandals are super comfy and stylish. I usually wear a size 9.5 and my feet are thick. I bought the 10 in color blue and they fit perfectly. The thong running between the toes has not caused me any discomfort. Highly recommended.

I have been walking in these sandals for about 2 weeks now and they are so awesome. They are the Tempur Pedic(TM) of sandals. The strap has molded to my thick feet and they feel looser from the top now which is great.
Does not conform
I love the Crocs Athens and thought these would be a step up. No dice! For me, what makes the Athens comfortable is that the upper V strap is made of the same soft croslite material as the rest of the shoe and as you wear them, it eventually conforms to the shape of your foot. Not these, there is an inflexible hard clear plastic inlaid across the V so how tight they are when you receive them, is how tight they will always be. As someone with a high instep, these were very uncomfortable and I had to send them back.
